Not really much to tell except that I am 44 years old and grew tired of watching life pass me by. My kids are all grown (well almost) and my wife and I find ourselves just staring at the TV or each other and I see by he look in her eye she really doesnt like what she sees….or on the TV either.
We disconnected the cable, Started volunteering our time for a cause or 2 that we believe in and I got lap band weight loss surgery. Thats what this blog is really about, My journey on the road to losing 250 pounds. I want to be half the man I am!!
I know this blog is boring but I felt if I could chronicle my journey it might actually help someone else in the same situation know what to face as they consider this surgery. The weight loss does not come as fast as with the gastric bypass but many feel this is a safe alternative and will deliver the same results but over a longer period of time. This method of weight loss does require more work that the gastric bypass and the weight will not just fall off, you will have to work.
This blog is my story of how I am dragging my body, kicking and screaming, into the new person I long to be. Please feel free to comment my blog as I need all the encouragement I can find!! I hope maybe I can be an encouragement to you as well.
Where have you been? =) Spring is giving way to late spring! How’s the program going? Hope you’re doing well.
